Description

The ASP-V™ is the first and only fully adjustable rig mounted single point sling that requires no torso loop. It is a specialized unit that mounts directly to an LBV / Plate Carrier. It allows the weapon to hang at a high ready position and can be deployed lightning fast to be shouldered either strong or weak side.

The ASP-V™ builds on the modularity of our extremely popular ASP™ Traditional Sling and allows several different attachment methods. It can be attached via a shoulder mounted D-Ring, through Pals / Molle webbing as well as directly to a shoulder strap. It readily accepts all current modular weapon adapters such as our auxiliary adapter, stock adapter and H&K snap hook adapter to insure compatibility with a wide array of weapon platforms.

Components

Below is an illustration highlighting the key components of the system followed by descriptions of each component:

ASP-V

  1. Attachment Loop:

    The attachment loop is used to secure the ASP-V™ to your rig. Ideally you would attach it via a shoulder mounted d-ring. However, it can also be mounted directly around a shoulder strap & even directly through your Pals / Molle webbing.

  2. Ladder-Loc:

    Controls the height of hang for your weapon by limiting the webbing’s movement to a single direction. To raise the weapon to a patrol / ready position, simply pull the rip cord ( see item 3 ). To deploy the weapon, for shouldering either strong or weak side, lift the ladder-loc using the thumb on your weak hand while pushing out with your strong hand on the weapon’s grip.

  3. Rip cord:

    Used to adjust weapon hang on the fly. The rip cord provides a double layer of webbing with a series of box stitches terminated in a d-ring to provide a stout and easy to use mechanism for placing the weapon back in a patrol / ready position.

  4. QDP™:

    Quick detach point for the weapon. The QDP™ enables the user to quickly detach the weapon from the ASP-V™ should the need arise. It also accomodates an infinite number of modular weapon adapters to ensure compatibility across a multitude of weapon platforms.

  5. Auxiliary Adapter:

    The default modular weapon adapter that will ship with the ASP-V™. The auxiliary adapter is the adapter of choice for the AR platform. It provides a noise free, rock solid mounting solution. When coupled with our SPRE sling mounts, you have the absolute lowest profile combination on the market.

Requirements

The ASP-V™ sling requires a mounting solution for your particular weapon platform. The included auxiliary adapter allows you to attach your sling to the sling loop on your weapon. If your weapon is not currently outfitted with a sling loop, you will need to purchase one. See our mounts section for details regarding specific mounting solutions.
